This new "Nord-Sud Quintet" was created by Henri Texier to play music as an homage to all these  African musicians and creators who brought so many things, and not only talking about music. What would be now western artists without the discovery of the Negro art?!...

What an amazing and essential stimulation.

Homage is also memory.To remember these Afro- American, Afro Cuban, Brazilians, Caribbeans musicians who where the masters who inspired us our passion.

On their first adventure on the old continent, Aldo Romano, Louis Sclavis, Henri Texier and Guy Le Querrec, brought back lively emotions and a wonderlul Carnet de Routes, crowned with height of success.

Back from a tour in South Africa and East Africa, the "trio and griot", as they are known, recorded a second opus Suite Africaine, accompanied by a delightful photo-booklet.

With great elegance and much humbleness, they treat us to a music forged by diverse atmospheres and countries, and demonstrate to us that their ever-evolving music, enriches itself further through exchanges.
