JT Bates can be seen regularly with Fat Kid Wednesdays, Anthony Cox's Regional Jazz Trio, Dean Magraw Trio, Low Blows, Carbon Carousel, and Alpha Consumer, and heard on many recordings coming out of the twin cities including: The Pines, Slow Skate, Michel Portal, Tony Hymas, Kelly Rossum, John Gorka, Debbie Duncan, Robert Skoro, and Face Candy (featuring Eyedea). JT has appeared at many festivals in the United States, France, Germany, and Spain, and has shared the stage with the likes of: Baikida Carroll, Evan Parker, David Friedman, Michael Formanek, and Midwestern Standard Time.
